For this past week’s social media post, I decided to post on TikTok. I wanted to post something I found funny and something I think people on the app would enjoy. The fun and unique part about TikTok is there are no unspoken rules about what to post and not post (except for things that may be overly inappropriate, but then again, you’d be surprised how much gets posted on that platform). I have seen repeated posts that represent a POV (point of view) and then a video is paired with it. I did not use any TikTok songs/audios besides my own from a video taken of me after my wisdom teeth were taken out. I know the internet loves to see a funny result of someone looped up right out of their surgery. What I found post-worthy about my particular video is that rather than me having a funny video of myself right out of surgery, I pointed to a sign that said “No Videos” and basically told my mother to cut the cameras and the video ends there. I captioned the video: “pov: u get ur wisdom teeth out but don’t get a proper video after surgery cuz u decided to respect the law instead.” I also attached some hashtags in the hopes that it would attract a larger audience. My video currently has 870 views, 51 likes, and 9 comments. I’d say that the video appealed to a decent amount of people and actually did better than I thought it would.
